I have plans to build an ultramodern Australian force in 15mm and as part of that I picked up the (not yet released) Hawkei from Eureka Miniatures. A great little model with resin body and metal parts. Comes with four wheels (I picked up an extra as part of a stowage set) and either the turret ring/MG (seen here) or remote operated weapon. With Eureka’s Bushmaster and ASLAVs will make up a good vehicle complement. The Hawkei is Australia’s replacement for the Land Rover as a protected mobility vehicle.
That’s a good start. I take it that the Hawkei in the photo is very much a “beta” version of the miniature?
If you are going ultramodern, as I am, what about the Boxer ACV that Australia has purchased, and is being manufactured at the same factory where the Hawkei is being produced.
Yes will definitely have to look into the Boxer. I’ve got a collection of ASLAVs already I guess it depends upon how “ultramodern” I want to go. 🙂
